Setting up your account

Den här sidan är inte översatt ännu, så du läser den engelska versionen.

The four things to set before your first offer, and why each one shows up later.

Värt att veta först

Nothing here blocks you from sending an offer

The builder will let you through with none of it filled in, and the gaps show up on the document the brand reads. That is the argument for spending fifteen minutes now.

Four settings decide what a brand sees on your contract and whether the money can reach you. None of them takes long. All of them are awkward to fix once an offer is out.

Your payout account

Settings → Payouts. This is the one that stops money moving.

Payouts run through Stripe. You connect an account once, Stripe collects your bank details and verifies who you are, and from then on your payments go straight from escrow to that account. Your bank details are held by Stripe and never by CollabNordic.

Connecting it is also what verifies you. Until it is done your packages are hidden from brands and you cannot price a campaign brief, so this is worth doing before anything else.

Your business details

Settings → Company. Your legal name and, if you have one, your registration number. These are printed on every contract, because a contract naming nobody in particular is not much of a contract.

Two things follow from what you set here.

Whether you charge sales tax. If you are registered, your prices are quoted without tax and the tax is added as its own line, which you collect and pass on. If you are not, prices are quoted and charged as they are, and the contract says so. CollabNordic does not withhold or file anything on your behalf either way.

Your currency. It comes from your country and is fixed once your Stripe account exists, because a connected account's country cannot be changed afterwards. You price, invoice and get paid in it.

Your public profile

Profile, Packages, Portfolio. What a brand sees before they decide to contact you.

A profile with no photo and no work on it is a page a brand leaves. The two things that matter most are a real photo of you, not one pulled from a social login, and enough portfolio pieces to show what you actually make.

Packages are optional. A creator with none is still bookable if you leave custom requests on in Public profile settings, which lets a brand describe a job and ask you to price it.

Contract defaults

Settings → Contract defaults. Named, and deliberately empty.

The idea is that a new proposal opens with your usual delivery time, revision count and licence, so you set them once instead of on every offer. Nothing is stored behind it yet, so today you set those values on each proposal. It is listed here so you know it is coming rather than wondering where the setting went.
