Accepting is not starting
Accepting a request sends the contract to the brand for payment, and nothing is expected of you until the money is held in escrow. The moment it is funded, the request leaves this screen and becomes a collaboration.
Collab Requests is the inbox for brands who found you. Two kinds of things land here: a brand booked one of your packages outright, or a brand sent a custom brief because your packages did not cover what they need.
Package bookings
A booking is a real contract offer built from your package: its price, its delivery time, its licence. The request shows exactly what was picked, your price as what you receive, the date they want it by, the usage terms, and the brand's own message.
A request can carry an answer-by date, shown on the card. Sitting past it closes the request on its own, so the list never fills with stale asks and a brand is never left waiting on silence.
Accept when the package as booked is what you are willing to do. The brand pays next; once escrow is funded the work appears in Collaborations.
Decline when it is not. Declining closes that request for good, costs you nothing, and does not stop the brand booking another package later.
Propose changes when the job is right but the terms are not: decline the request and send the brand a proposal with the terms you actually want.
Custom Requests
When Custom Requests are switched on in your public profile settings, a signed-in brand can describe work that your fixed packages do not cover. They send a brief and may add a date for when they need it. If they opened the form beside a package, that package is attached as context.
A custom request has no price. The current form does not ask the brand for a budget, because the price belongs in the offer you create after reading the brief. Older requests may still show a budget; it remains context and is never copied into your offer.
Answer with an offer opens a platform proposal draft. The brief becomes the scope notes, the requested date becomes the delivery date, and a related package can seed the first line at your published price. Review and price the draft before sending it. Nothing is shown to the brand while it is still a draft.
Because this brand already has a CollabNordic account, the offer is delivered inside the platform. Answering does not automatically add the brand to My Brands.
Decline asks you for a short reason, and the brand receives exactly what you write.

Where requests come from
Requests exist because your profile is bookable: live packages a brand can pick, or Custom Requests switched on. If this screen is quiet, the thing to review is your packages and your public profile, not your inbox.
