Best platforms for content creators in 2026

CollabNordic, Collabstr, Influee and Hyred: fees, rights and differences.

Plenty of platforms for content creators promise to connect you with brands. The important differences show up once you get a job. How much of your fee do you keep? Who decides what the brand can do with your video? And do you get somewhere to run your business, or just access to the next project?

We build CollabNordic. We prefer our own platform, and this comparison reflects that. We put the most weight on your control over pricing and usage rights, the cost of arranging a collaboration, and the tools that support your work. On those criteria, CollabNordic is our first choice. Different needs can lead to a different choice.

Prices, terms and public pages were checked on 11 October 2026. We have not made test purchases from competitors. We compare their platforms, excluding any separate agency services.

Platforms for content creators: the costs

“Free to join” tells you little about the cost of a completed project. Here is the difference between signing up and paying the fees that follow.

Sources: CollabNordic pricing, Collabstr pricing, Collabstr's creator FAQ, Influee's UGC pricing for Norway and Hyred pricing. We explain the status of the last two services below. “Not confirmed” does not mean free. Currencies are retained from the sources, and these figures are not quotes including every tax, fee and extra.

CollabNordic: for creators building their own business

CollabNordic is built to let you do more than wait for a brand to find you. You create a public booking page with your portfolio and packages at prices you set. You can apply to campaigns or send an offer as a link to a brand you already know. The agreement is directly between you and the brand. We are not an agency.

Behind your page is Creator Space: customers and contacts, offers, contracts, deliveries and an overview of your income. You can export reports for your accountant. That makes the platform useful when you find the customer yourself, too. Our updated guide to how CollabNordic works walks through the process.

Creating an account and receiving bookings cost you nothing, and neither party needs a subscription. We do not deduct a platform fee from the creator's price. The brand pays 5% on top, calculated on the base price rather than any VAT. You can pay for optional featured placement. That is a one-off purchase for visibility, with no requirement to buy it to use the platform.

The brand pays before work starts. The money is held in escrow through CollabNordic and released on approval, or automatically after the 14-day response period if the brand does not respond. The response period starts when the work is submitted for review or completion is requested. A reported dispute pauses automatic release. Stripe Connect handles the transfer to your bank account; release of the funds and their arrival at your bank are separate steps.

You also agree on usage rights. Organic publishing, use for a set number of months and permanent use are different options. We believe the length of time a brand can use your work should be part of how you price it.

CollabNordic is owned by the Norwegian company NiceLab AS, and the platform also serves creators and brands outside Norway. Development started in summer 2025. We have changed a great deal along the way to make the product more useful for people who want to earn a living creating content. Part of the fee covers Stripe and payment costs. The rest funds operations and further development. Payment costs vary by transaction.

Collabstr: your own prices, with a deduction from each job

Collabstr is an international marketplace for UGC and social media collaborations. You can set your own prices and share your profile with brands. Registration is free, but Collabstr deducts 15% when you make a sale. The brand pays a fee as well. We think that is the difference worth calculating, beyond the fact that both platforms let you create a profile for free. See Collabstr's creator page and fee explanation.

Direct booking does not require a subscription. Campaigns do. Pro is listed at USD 249 per month and Premium at USD 333 per month, both billed annually. The subscription overview explains the plans.

The creator guide describes unlimited revisions within the original order. When an order is approved automatically after 72 hours without a response, an additional ten-day buffer applies before payment is released. “Approved” does not necessarily mean money in your bank account that day. See the order guide.

Collabstr also has clear strengths: reporting on published posts and several payout methods. Automatic tracking of posts bought through the platform is not limited to paid subscribers. For a brand that needs this reporting, the extra cost may be worthwhile.

Influee: production tools with a monthly cost

Influee offers both UGC and influencer collaborations. Here, we compare its UGC creation prices for the Norwegian market. They start at EUR 199 per month, with creator payments and a 10% marketplace fee charged separately. Starter allows up to ten new creator collaborations a month. The subscription is not a budget that pays the creators. See UGC pricing.

The terms require unlimited revisions within the brief and grant permanent digital usage rights for content made for the brand's channels. The creator keeps the copyright. This differs from pricing a licence with an end date. See Influee's terms.

Influee has useful tools to offer. These include campaign automation and a video editor with features such as subtitles and ad variations. The editor has separate pricing; it should not be treated as included in the starting price of the UGC subscription.

For a brand commissioning content regularly, these tools may justify a subscription. For occasional projects, a fixed monthly cost is harder to justify. Our advantage is that neither the creator nor the brand needs a subscription to work together.

Hyred: no subscription, with different content terms

Hyred also lets brands buy without a subscription. Credit where it is due. Its self-service platform offers videos from EUR 79, with editing and other extras charged separately. See Hyred's pricing.

For creators, one useful distinction is that Hyred offers projects where someone else handles the editing. That may suit you if you want to focus on filming. The brand's purchase price is not the same as the creator's fee, though. See Hyred for creators.

The terms provide for a broad, permanent transfer of rights to the brand. You also cannot publish the content yourself without the brand's permission. That is a significant difference from agreeing to limited use. See Hyred's terms.

Hyred may suit a brand that wants a standard video purchase with editing available as an extra. Under our criteria, CollabNordic is a better fit when you want to sell your own packages and agree on pricing and the period of use directly with the customer.

UGC i Norge: ugcinorge.no is closed

There is no need to guess about this one. UGC i Norge states that its platform has closed. It is therefore not an available option for new projects in this comparison.

If you are looking for an alternative to UGC i Norge, CollabNordic is a platform run from Norway where you can create a profile, offer UGC and take on paid collaborations. We have no affiliation with the closed service.

ContentCloud: the website remains, but availability is unclear

ContentCloud still has a public website. When we checked the service on 11 October 2026, its home page and login page responded, while the public creator directory returned a server error. We could not confirm that the service worked from start to finish.

That is a reason to check whether you can complete a project before relying on it. It does not establish a permanent closure or how long any problems have lasted. We therefore describe ContentCloud as a service whose availability remains unclear. If you are looking for a ContentCloud alternative, CollabNordic is one of the platforms you can consider.

The features that matter in your working day

Here, we compare the four platforms with publicly available offerings. The features are based on the sources linked in the reviews above and Collabstr's rules on agreed usage rights. We use “Not confirmed” where we do not have enough evidence for a yes or no.

CollabNordic does not cover every need either. We do not offer Hyred's separate editing service or Influee's video editor. A subscription or a different fee may be worth paying when you need those services. None of us can guarantee that a profile will bring you work, and we do not claim our marketplace has the most customers.

Build a page where customers can book you

Our case for CollabNordic is specific: you keep the agreed price without a platform deduction, the brand pays 5%, and both parties can work without a subscription. You get tools for customers you find yourself, alongside the chance to be discovered. To us, that is a better starting point for building a business as a creator.

Add what you offer, set a price you are willing to work for, and share your page the next time a brand gets in touch. Create your page in Creator Space.
