Blocking and reporting users

Den här sidan är inte översatt ännu, så du läser den engelska versionen.

How to stop someone contacting you, and how to tell us when someone breaks the rules.

Two separate tools for two separate problems. Block stops someone reaching you. Report tells us they broke the rules. You can use either on its own, or both.

Both are in the mobile app, in any conversation.

Blocking someone

  1. Open the conversation in Messages.
  2. Tap the menu at the top right.
  3. Tap Block user and confirm.

A block works in both directions:

  • Neither of you can send the other a message.
  • You cannot send a Custom Request to a creator you have blocked, or who has blocked you.
  • They are not told that you blocked them.

A block does not cancel work you already agreed. A collaboration that is in progress carries on, and updates about it still appear in the conversation, so neither of you loses track of work or money that is already committed. If the collaboration itself is the problem, see Reporting an issue.

Unblocking

In the app, go to Profile, then Blocked users, and unblock them there. From then on you can message each other again.

Reporting someone

  1. Open the conversation in Messages.
  2. Tap the menu at the top right.
  3. Tap Report user.
  4. Choose a reason: Spam, Harassment, Scam or fraud, or Something else.
  5. Add details if you can, then tap Send report.

The report is sent to CollabNordic with the reason and your details. The person you report is not told who reported them.

If we confirm that the Terms of Use were broken, we can warn the account, suspend it, or ban it permanently. For serious fraud we can involve the authorities.

A report does not block anyone. If you also want them to stop contacting you, block them as well.

Making a report useful

Say what happened and which rule you think was broken. A report that points at a specific message is one we can act on straight away. A report that only says the other person was difficult is one we have to ask questions about first.
